How to enter
Exactly what to upload, and how to export it.
Four required files and up to three optional mock-ups. Every file is checked automatically within about a minute of landing, and you are told precisely what failed.
The files
Vector source file
RequiredSVG, AI, EPS or PDF. It must contain real vector paths — a picture placed inside a PDF is not a vector file and will be flagged.

RequiredThe same design in solid black only. This is how your logo will appear on a stamp, a receipt and an embroidered cap.

Mock-ups
Optional — up to threeYour design in use: on a banner across a road, on a stage backdrop, on a cap, on a food pack. These are not scored directly, but they help the panel judge versatility (worth 15 points) and they cost you nothing.
The automatic quality gate
Every raster file is measured the moment it lands. These four thresholds are hard rejections — no officer overrides them, and a rejected file cannot be submitted:
Resolution
At least 3,000 px on the longest side for the main preview; 2,000 px for the colour and mono PNGs.
JPEG quality
Estimated quality 90 or above. Below that the file is rejected — supply a PNG if you are unsure.
Colour profile
sRGB or untagged. A CMYK export is rejected: convert to RGB before exporting for screen.
Sharpness
Measured on the image itself. A file exported small and scaled up will fail this even if its pixel count passes.
How to export, by application
Adobe Illustrator
- 1File → Export → Export As, choose PNG.
- 2Set Resolution to 300 ppi. Do NOT leave it on Screen (72 ppi) — that is what produces a large but soft file.
- 3For the vector source, File → Save As and choose PDF with "Preserve Illustrator Editing Capabilities" ticked, or plain SVG.
- 4For the one-colour version, select all, set fill to 100% black, remove every stroke and effect, then export as PNG.
CorelDRAW
- 1File → Export, choose PNG, set dpi to 300.
- 2For the vector source, export as EPS or PDF — but first check Bitmaps in the Object Manager. If your artwork contains a placed bitmap, the vector check will fail it.
- 3Convert every outline to a curve before exporting so line weights survive scaling.
Figma
- 1Select the frame, then in Export choose PNG and set the multiplier to 4× or higher until the pixel dimensions shown pass 3000.
- 2For the vector source, export the same frame as SVG. Tick "Outline text" so your typeface travels with the file.
- 3Figma exports sRGB by default, which is what we need.
Photoshop or a phone app
- 1You can produce the preview this way, but you still need a genuine vector source — a Photoshop file is not one, and neither is a PNG placed inside a PDF.
- 2If you designed on paper or in a raster app, redraw the final mark in a vector tool before you submit. This is the single most common reason a good design fails.
What you have to write
Design rationale
100–300 words
What the mark is, where it came from, and why it answers the theme. The panel reads this while scoring theme interpretation and cultural authenticity — 40 of the 100 points. Write it properly.
Third-party materials
Or tick "none used"
Every font, photograph, icon, texture or illustration you did not make yourself — with its source, its licence, and evidence of that licence. If you drew everything, say so; that is an answer too.
AI Use Statement
Compulsory — cannot be left blank
Either "no AI used", or the name of each tool, the stage you used it at, and at least 20 words on what it produced. Using AI does not disqualify you. Misdeclaring it does.
